today's Labour Day !! wee~ no work for me. lalala... had a mini 21st celebration for yawen by de pool. initially i wanted to swim. however, de pool was too crowded with kids. so much so for wanting to swim huh. damn! =\
[Sunday, Sep 4th]
enjoyed myself pretty much ytd. Linda came to pick us up at 3pm. brought along our laundry for her to wash; she uses de washing machine la. apparently, we were too lazy to do our laundry. haha. watched de US Open while we waited for dinner to be ready. Linda's hubby does de cooking for her most of de time. how sweet of him rite.
hmm.. how i wish dere is a guy who can cook for me too. den i can just sit back and relax while he cooks. haha. till i can find a bf who knows how to cook, i shall keep my fingers crossed. =P
dinner consisted of fried fish, coleslaw, beans and fries. ate quite a lot as i was hungry, as usual. haha. after dinner, Erin [Linda's daughter] brought us to Collin Creek mall. we have only an hour to shop! reason being, de malls are only opened from 12noon to 6pm on sundays. we reached dere at around 5+pm. sheesh...
browsed around Forever 21 but couldn't find anything i like. i prefer de Forever 21 outlet at Grapevine mall much better, cuz they have a larger variety dere. after dat, we headed to Charlotte Russe where i bought 2 tank tops. same design but different colors - black and white. haha. initially i tot it was on a promotion: "2 for $14". however, when i was at de cashier, i was told dat de promo applies only to those tops on de lower rack; mine were from de upper rack. -.-''' so i ended up paying around 28bucks for my tank tops. couldn't decide which one to forgo as i like both de colors equally, so i bought dem without hesitation. hee.
after dat, Erin wanted to get some stuffs from Bath and Body Works so we went dere. dis shop sells a variety of bath, face and body products. Erin wanted to get some body scrub but wasn't sure of which product is suitable for her. with a recommendation from de salesgirl, she bought de Breathe Delight Skin Renewal Body Polish. de salesgirl did a demonstration on her skin, which later on, i was tempted to try out too. heh.
all i can say is, de result was simply therapeutic and it smells damn good. mmm.. de scent is truly uplifting. tell me, how can i resist such temptation. thus, i bought it without much consideration. it cost me US$23. and mind you, datz like 39bucks in sing dollars! oh boy, i wouldn't even give it a tot if i were in SG. felt like i have been cast a spell when de salesgirl asked if i wanna get it. haha.
moreover, her service was excellent! she was so enthusiastic and sincere in serving us, be it if we gonna buy her products or not. she even gave us some free samples even though we din ask for it. *thumbs up*
hmmm i can even smell it now while typing; tried de scrub during my shower earlier on. itz tamarind nectar flavor. nice fragrance!
after shopping, we headed back to Linda's house. played with Cleo for awhile and den took some pics with her. she kept turning her head away and i had a hard time trying to make her face towards de direction of de camera. well, she doesn't like cameras. haha. shy ger!
